Montezuma, Costa Rica

There is nothing quite like Montezuma. Wildlife right outside your front door — little capuchin monkeys can be heard from miles away! In 2008, on our walk through the jungle there was one right above my head. It’s truly remarkable.

At the beginning of this year, we were able to make it back to the “pura vida” (Tico word for “good life”). The colors are always so vibrant and the sun is radiant. It would be a perfect setting for a beach wedding. I wish someone would hire me to do wedding photography in Montezuma, Costa Rica. I would go for practically nothing! Hey ladies, if you’re out there… getting hitched on the shores of Playa Grande or next to the sandy beach of Ylang Ylang… I’m your girl.

I’m thinking of a July honeymoon in montezuma, staying 7 nights at ylang ylang. I’ve done tons if research, but could use any advice or recommendations. Can you purchase wine/beer at the grocery store? How are drink/food prices at the town restaurants? Are beaches swim friendly or full of rocks? We like drinks and people, will it be too laid back??
    Pics are amazing, thanks!

Hello! So, we are looking at getting married at Ylang Ylang in Montezuma… any chance you are still willing to do the photography for “practically nothing”?? ;) We were in Costa Rica in May and fell in love with it. And now I really want to go to Ylang Ylang. It looks amazing.
