Spiritualized performed, with Nikki Lane opening, at the Metro on Thursday, May 3.

22 years into an extremely productive and critically adored career as Spiritualized, Jason ‘Spaceman’ Pierce proved why he has remained relevant years after his opus, 1997′s “Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space.”

This show was just about perfect from top to bottom, playing new tracks from Huh? as well as digging into classics from albums like the aforementioned Ladies and Gentlemen, and even into Pure Phase, to perform a personal favorite, “Lay Back in the Sun.”

The room was heady from all of the various smoke and psychedelic energy, and as always, the band left us thirsting for more.

This is the second time I’ve looked at this post Justine. I love Paris and I love they way you’ve captured it!
