These two dope Queens got hitched at Ovation Chicago.
Champaign County Courthouse // Mallory + Kenneth
For their March wedding, Mallory and Kenneth stepped into the Champaign County Courthouse for an intimate winter gathering with their dearest friends and family. Their officiant, the Honorable Randall Rosenbaum, sent the couple off with thoughtful, heartfelt words on their commitment to one another. With downtown Urbana’s Crane Alley and Sipyard just a few steps away, we walked around town to continue the celebration. It also turned out to be the hottest day of the month on record at a whopping 78 degrees!

501 Union, Brooklyn // Allison + BA
Allison and Beth Anne’s Galentine’s Day (ahem, that’s Valentine’s Day for gals as coined by Leslie Knope on Parks & Rec for those of you who don’t follow) wedding at 501 Union in Brooklyn, NY was the greatest. OK, so it was actually on February 14th and not the 13th like Galentine’s is meant to be — but, let me tell you, there was so much love in the air to last for days, if not, months. Jove Meyer Events knocked this one out of the park, Fig & Pig Catering took shots of Fireball with the brides in the kitchen, and me and my second shooter danced our asses off at the end of the night with everyone. It was an evening none of us would ever forget!
This gem of a wedding was also recently featured in The Knot NY Print Edition. For those of you who didn’t find it on newsstands, you can view it here online.
Brooklyn Botanic Garden // Lara + A.J.
Lara + A.J.’s November wedding at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s Palm House was the epitome of autumn at its finest. The leaves on the trees had just started to turn. Remnants of the flowers were showing their true fall colors. Set amongst a stunning collection of flora and fauna in the middle of charming Brooklyn, it was full of romance.
A.J.’s blue velvet Hugo Boss suit was made complete with badass cufflinks of Prince and Michael Jackson’s portraits. Lara’s Sarah Seven Worthington wedding gown flowed so elegantly in the breeze. Floral arrangements by Rebecca Shepherd Floral Design and wedding coordination by Field & Feather truly made everything look top notch. It is no wonder why The Black Tie Bride featured their fantastic Brooklyn wedding day!
Firehouse Chicago Wedding // Andrea + Yusuf
Andrea and Yusuf’s Firehouse Chicago wedding hooked me from the moment I walked on site. They stayed true to themselves and how they wanted their wedding to unfold — it was authentic, full of sheer joy, and pure love that could be felt by all in the room. I mean, who doesn’t want to have their first dance be to Method Man’s “All I Need”?
A Practical Wedding has also featured this wedding on their site. Click here to read Drea + Yusuf’s full story on how they planned for and budgeted their wedding day.
